Maximize Marketing During The Holidays

Bizo, a business audience marketing company, recently conducted a survey which found that 65% of executives feel that social media is the most important aspect for this years holiday season. E-mail followed at 46% and content marketing at 45%. Therefore, On Top Visibility would like to share some tips on how to maximize your social media marketing efforts for the holidays.

Engage your customers by suggesting gift ideas. People often feel stressed over not knowing what to buy for people on their list. Be part of the solution and offer ideas in different price points, and your customers will be happy! Another way to engage your customers is by posting polls. Ask questions such as, “What is your favorite holiday song?” or “What is your favorite holiday food?” Once a customer answers a question, it will show on the news feeds of all of their friends.  This will spread your name and keep your brand at the forefront of people’s minds.

Having a sale? Shout it out on the social networks! Let your customers know of early bird specials, door busters, free shipping, etc. The word will spread and your business will increase.

Everyone likes to get something for free during the holidays. If you have a brick and mortar business, be sure to utilize Foursquare or Gowalla and offer specials. For example, a restaurant may offer a free appetizer to any table of 4 who checks in on Foursquare.

A big part of using social media marketing is to associate a human face with your business. Be sure to communicate on your social networks when you participate in any charitable activity and/or community give-back.

The holidays are a busy, hectic time. People may not have the time to stop and chat or pick up the phone, but they will check the activity on their social networks. Make sure your business is seen!
