08 Oct A Bigger Bang For You Buck: the Cost-Efficiency of SEO
If there’s one reason — and one reason only — you invest in search engine optimization (SEO), it’s that it’s one of the most affordable ways to market your company. Here’s a few stats you should know.
SEO Leads Have a Far Higher Close Rate.
One of the first things you should know about leads generated by SEO is that they have a far higher close rate. Outbound marketing leads — ones generated by such marketing tactics as direct mailing or cold calling — have a 1.7% close rate. Organic search leads, on the other hand, have a 14.6% close rate. That’s right. SEO leads have a 14-times higher close rate.
Mobile Searches Lead Directly to Sales.
When people search for a business or service on their mobile device, chances are they need it and need it soon. Half (50%) of all mobile searches are done in the hopes of finding local results, businesses and services that are close by. Of those searches, more than half (61%) result in a purchase. That means that if you can get your business in front of mobile users, you’re going to start bringing in a lot more high-value leads.
Content Generates Thrice as Many Leads.
Content marketing, one of the many SEO tactics out there, is in and of itself a cost-efficient, Internet marketing strategy, too. It costs 62% less than traditional marketing tactics, like TV advertising, and is able to generate three times as many leads, believe it or not. That’s right. By blogging, posting content to social media, and getting branded content out there in front of online audiences, you can start generating three times as many leads.
